This
axial CT scan through the pelvis of a patient with UC shows a solid
soft tissue mass in the sigmoid colon corresponding to a carcinoma.
In addition, note that there is a " target sign" within
the rectum because of the submucosal fatty proliferation (see Figure
3), a signature finding in UC. |
