Slide 30

The epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare lesion and, like the angiosarcoma and HCC, has a propensity for intravascular growth. This is illustrated here where a tuft of tumor grows into the hepatic vein. This intravascular growth causes fibrosis and internal infarction of the mass. It tends to grow to the periphery of the liver capsule without deforming it.
