Personal Statement
"Technology today has allowed us to advance to new depths in multiple areas of medicine. Advances in the field of ultrasound have led us from the "dark ages" of B-scans to the modern-day, real-time gray-scale displays which have allowed ultrasound to become an indispensable tool in the field of medical imaging. The ability to perform superb real-time studies has allowed for the advancement of interventional ultrasound where various biopsies, needle localizations, and drainage procedures are performed swiftly, safely and with unsurpassed precision.

"I am enthusiastic about the future as technological advancements in the field of ultrasound contrast agents, 3-D and harmonic imaging promise to preserve ultrasound as a front-line imaging modality."
