The Internet or World Wide Web, as all of you know, is a huge mass of information. It is an incredible resource for Radiologists, enhancing education, research, advertising and almost anything else. It has been said that the Internet is like a library with all of the books spilled out of the shelves and all over the floor. Search engines are the TOOLS we use to sift through all of the information to find what we're looking for. It's best to know what your tools' capabilities are in order to use them to their fullest extent. Using search engines improperly is something like driving a car—but only in first gear. It certainly will get you where you want to go, but it will take a lot longer than if the driver was educated about the efficiency of the rest of the gears. After all, speed and efficiency is what the Internet is all about. So, don't be a victim. Learn how to properly search, and you and your valuable time won't get "caught" in the web.
